HDCS Heavy Duty Compact Screw
ANOTHER HEAVYWEIGHT ADDED TO THE COLLECTION
The 25mm diameter ballscrew drive on the new HepcoMotion® HDCS Heavy Duty Compact Ballscrew Transmission provides both high driving force and high precision. This latest addition to the Heavy Duty range is built on a strong, compact, high strength aluminium beam with T-slot fixings and, thanks to the inclusion of HepcoMotion® Heavy Duty slides and bearings, it has excellent load capacity.
Two sizes of carriage – 64 and 95 – are available for high and very high loads. Respectively they are rated for direct loads of up to 16,000N for 500km of travel/5,895N@10,000km and 4,000N for 400km of travel/13,680N@10,000km. Moment loads are respectively up to 1,800Nm@500km and 5,400Nm@400km.
True to HepcoMotion®’s policy of providing its customers with maximum design flexibility, the new HDCS has been introduced with an extensive range of options. Units can be supplied with many types of motor, or specified with flanges and coupling for own-motor fitting. To accord with applications requirements, the Heavy Duty Slides can be precision ground or of commercial quality. Further options include a bellows cover for the slideways and end plate fitted with tooling grippers.
Naturally, the HDCS system is compatible with HepcoMotion®’s MCS aluminium framework system and its full range of driven products including the HDLS Heavy Duty Linear System, the HDFS Heavy Duty and DLS Driven Linear System. HDCS is therefore an ideal component of a multi-axis system, created either by the customer or supplied as a complete turnkey package by HepcoMotion®.
