HIGH MOMENT LOAD, DRIVEN LINEAR SYSTEM OPTIMISES MANDREL REELINGMORE
The problems that occur when reeling in a garden hose after use equally apply to the reeling process involved in flexible mandrel production. If the hose isn’t guided effectively it tends to build up on one side of the reel, coil too loosely, tangle, kink or jam. This is precisely what was happening to mandrel manufacturer, Bell Plastics, with its original guiding mechanism.
DRIVEN LINEAR ACTUATOR SYSTEM FOR BOTTLE SPRAYINGMORE
The Liverpool-based company Dibro has one of the largest facilities in the UK for decorating glass bottles. It applies decorative painted finishes, acid-etched effects and lacquers to a variety of glass containers and has recently installed a new printing facility for the ceramic and precious metal printing of glass containers. The company is a specialist in its field but by its own admission no expert in linear motion. So when it came to automating a glass treatment process on the new plant to increase productivity it chose HepcoMotion® to recommend the most appropriate system for linear actuation.
INTELLIGENT LINEAR RIG TIGHTENS UP FILM PRODUCTIONMORE
Thanks to some clever design work based on a HepcoMotion® linear actuation system, production of the Glendogie Bogey was a slick operation. Funded by BBC Scotland, this stop/motion animated film was the sequel to the BAFTA-nominated Haunted Hogmanay and sees two friends go in search of the fearsome monster, the Glendogie Bogey, that lurks in caves under a golf course! Former S Clubber, Rachel Stevens and actor Peter Capaldi provide two of the voices.
DEDICATED LINEAR ACTUATOR FOR EACH AXISMORE
X-Y-Z linear motion systems, they are widely used throughout industry but demands on the various axes vary considerably. Linear motion specialists, HepcoMotion®, have therefore developed a family of actuators to address these different needs so that each axis operates optimally and contributes to the overall efficiency and longevity of the system.
Visit us at Machine Building, NEC 27-28 April 2010. Stand No. 1630MORE
On a specially developed demonstration unit HepcoMotion® will show that with the correct choice of linear actuator, each axis will operate optimally.
