HEPCO SLIDE SYSTEMS LIMITED, have an excellent reputation worldwide as a manufacturer of linear slide systems. To enable us to continue our impressive record of growth, we now seek a Design Engineer, to work in our Research & Development Department at our Tiverton Site.

This position would suit an engineer with a degree Mechanical Engineering or a related subject together with experience in a design role.

This interesting and varied role will involve the design of new and improved products from concept to manufacture, the support and maintenance of existing products and the creation of product documentation; including CAD models, drawings, customer CAD data, instructions, manuals and catalogues.

The successful candidate will be able to create and document designs using CAD tools, in order to identify where calculations and tests are required, and to perform and document these calculations and tests. A high degree of technical competence, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and computer literacy are pre-requisites for this post.

The position will require the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD CAD programs, and experience of these packages would be an advantage although training will be provided to candidates experienced with other design tools.

Hours of Work:

Monday – Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm. 1-hour for Lunch. 35-hour week.
