Sales Office / Customer Services Assistant (Maternity Cover) required for our European Headquarters based in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

We are currently looking for a Sales Office / Customer Services Assistant (Maternity Cover).

 

As a key member of Hepco's Sales Department, the Sales Office / Customer Services Assistant will report to the Customer Services Manager.  The role will involve the following:

 

  • Servicing all HepcoMotions customers and prospective customers requirements and in doing so promote the Company and its products in a professional manner.
  • To service all customer enquiries regarding price and delivery.
  • Produce quotations / proposals for customer requirements.
  • Supporting and liaising with the Company's outside Sales Force (UK), European Branch Offices and other overseas agents.
  • Processing of customer purchase order into HepcoMotions order processing IT systems.
  • Process customers orders for dispatching and shipping to customers premises.
  • Working with customers in line with 'Credit Control Procedures'.
  • Ensuring a helpful and positive approach towards our customer is always maintained.
  • Full training in the Companies products and systems will be provided.

 

Hours of Work:

 

Monday - Friday:     9.00am - 5.00pm, 1-hour for lunch.

35-hour week.

 

A degree of flexibility will be required as the Department is operational between 8.30am and 4.30pm, therefore you will also be required to work the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm on a rotational basis.

CELL MACHINIST, NIGHT SHIFT United Kingdom 16/03/2015

Cell Machinist required to work nights at our European Headquarters based in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

 

Previous experience of the following is essential:

 

  • CNC & Conventional Milling, including operation of Hurco, Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain.
  • Precision Grinding.
  • CNC Turning / Manual Turning.
  • Inspection Experience.
  • Mechanical skills, including fabrication, cutting and measurement techniques.

 

Weekend Nights:

 

Friday - Sunday:             6.00pm - 6.00am, 30-minute lunch break

36-hours

 

Mid Week Nights:

 

Monday - Wednesday: 6.00pm - 4.00am, 30-minute lunch break

Thursday:                       6.00pm - 3.00am, 30-minute lunch break

SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT LEADER United Kingdom 16/03/2015

Supplier Development Leader required for our European Headquarters based in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

To work within our busy Purchasing Department.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Undertake routine day-to-day Purchasing activities.
  • Develop and maintain a vendor rating system for all suppliers.
  • Perform regular and comprehensive performance reviews across the supply base, through formal supplier review meetings.
  • Identify and implement corrective action plans to improve quality, cost and delivery performance.
  • Meet with suppliers to build relationships, undertake quality, performance and cost reviews, and negotiate improvements as necessary.
  • Develop improved Purchasing methods to derive greater department efficiencies.
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturing, sales, R & D and other relevant internal departments to develop optimum supply.
  • Research new products and suppliers, to identify potential improvements in supply, cost or quality.
  • Negotiate and agree contracts, including customer service levels and monitor progress with new and existing suppliers.

Essential Skills and Background:

 

  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Well-developed negotiation skills, ability to help suppliers achieve the Company's goals in cost, performance and quality.
  • Articulate with good face-to-face skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence on all levels, from shop floor to Board Room.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Purchasing / supply chain function.
  • Self motivated, driven and able to set personal targets for supplier improvements.
  • Full UK driving licence, current passport and a willingness to travel.
  • A technical engineering background would be advantageous, but not essential.

 

Hours of Work:

Monday - Friday:     9.00am - 5.00pm, 1-hour for lunch.

ADVANCED ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP IN GRINDING United Kingdom 04/03/2015

Advanced Engineering Apprentice in Grinding is required for our Braintree Precision Components site based in Braintree, Essex

 

We are keen to recruit:

Anyone with a keen interest in a career in Engineering.

 

A Grinding Engineering Apprenticeship will be provided for those applicants who have 4 GCSE's at a grade of C or above (or equivalent) - to  include Maths and Science at a grade B or above.  Full on-the-job training will be provided, together with day-release at a local college; leading to a nationally recognised qualifications as follows:

 

NVQ3 Extended Diploma

BTEC (via Colchester College)

Functional Skills Level 2, English, Maths and ICT

 

Successful candidates will work within Manufacturing producing components and assemblies for products manufactured by Braintree Precision Components.  This also includes working within all departments of Manufacturing on a rotation basis in order to learn the production processes, methods and systems used by the Company.

 

Candidates are required to have good time keeping skills, be able to work in a team and learn in a busy environment.  In addition candidates must be willing to learn and have a keen interest in Engineering.

 

The interview process to include a selection test will commence early April.  Employment will commence Monday, 7 September 2015.
