Internal Product Specialist required for our European Headquarters based in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

This position is for an Internal Product Specialist to expand our Sales (Ancillary Products) Department.  This sales orientated role is office-based, dealing with enquiries from new and existing customers as well as offering a high level of technical support.

 

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Working in conjunction with our external sales force (UK & Overseas) to provide technical advice and support to customers - specifying in a wide range of engineering products.
  • Liaison with our international suppliers, distributors and branches worldwide.

 

KEY COMPETENCES:

  • An Engineering qualification, or served an apprenticeship is preferred however, candidates with a good engineering background would still be considered.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and a base knowledge of engineering mathematics would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet specified deadlines.

 

HOURS OF WORK:

Monday - Friday:

9.00am - 5.00pm, 1-hour for lunch.

35-hour week.

 

A degree of flexibility will be required as the Department is operational between 8.30am and 5.00pm, therefore you may also be required to work the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm on a rotational basis.

Production Cell Machinists required for our European Headquarters based in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

We are currently looking for Production Cell Machinists to work within our busy Production Department:

Please note that this spec covers several departments and shifts within HepcoMotion.

 

Previous experience of some or all of the following is preferred but training can be provided:

 

*     CNC & Conventional Milling, including operation of Hurco, Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain machines.

*     Precision Grinding.

*     CNC Turning / Manual Turning.

*     Manual Machining / Milling.

*     Fitting / Assembly.

*     Quality / Inspection.

*     Mechanical skills, including fabrication and cutting and measurement techniques.

 

We have day, night and weekend shift patterns available; we are therefore seeking individuals who are flexible and prepared to undertake shift work as the need arises.

 

HOURS OF WORK:

Day Shift

Monday - Thursday:        

7.30 am - 4.30 pm

30-minutes Lunch Break.

Friday:

7.30 am - 12.30 pm 

No Lunch Break.  39-Hour week

 

Night Shift

MECHANICAL / FINAL INSPECTOR United Kingdom 16/07/2014

Mechanical / Final Inspector required for our European Headquarters based in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

To work within our busy Quality Department.

 

We are looking for a proactive individual to join our Quality Inspection Team to be responsible for checking a wide range of engineered products prior to despatch.

 

Experience of some or all of the following is preferred:

  • Previous experience of final inspection.
  • Use of manual measuring equipment including micrometers, callipers, verniers, protractors etc.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Good eye for / attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to identify and report faults clearly and concisely.

 

The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of engineered parts and be able to verify products meet applicable standards.  Where problems are identified, the Inspector will be required to escalate where appropriate using our internal systems.

GRINDING OPERATOR United Kingdom 16/07/2014

Grinding Operator required for our Braintree Precision Components site based in Braintree, Essex.

 

To work within our busy Grinding Department.

 

This is a rewarding role and will appeal particularly to applicants who have basic cylindrical grinding experience, who thrive on challenges and want to participate in our Group success.

 

After Initial Training the position will involve alternate weekly early and late shifts (shift premiums will be paid for both shifts).

 

Preferred Experience, Skills and Background:

Ideally we are looking for Candidates that have already gained some knowledge of cylindrical grinding principles although this is not essential.

Previous experience of working as part of a team, particularly in an engineering environment would be a distinct advantage.  Similarly the use of preset meters and gauges to check conformity of product.

We place particular interest in Candidates that are enthusiastic and have a willingness to learn.  BPC have an excellent track record of developing skills within the Grinding Cell and there will be opportunities for the right Candidate to be taught the required setting skills to further both their career and earning potential.

CNC TURNER SETTER / OPERATOR United Kingdom 15/07/2014

CNC Turner Setter / Operator required for our Braintree Precision Components site based in Braintree, Essex.

 

We are looking for candidates that have already gained considerable fixed head turning experience, however, candidates that have acquired similar transferable skills are also welcome to apply.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Fanuc trained and familiar with the use of Canned Cycles.
  • Setting / Operating any of the following turning centres:

             Samsung PL20A or PL25A

             Hitachi Seiki HT30G, HT25R (both with bar feeder) or HT23RIII

             Doosan Puma 2600 series with Sub spindle.

 

             Therefore knowledge of driven tooling would be essential.

 

  • An understanding of the concept of Hard Part Turning (HPT) using Cubic Boron Nitride inserts and the advantages over grinding, post heat treatment.
  • Experienced in cutting Stainless and Non Stainless steels and high grade aluminium alloy.

WEEKEND PRODUCTION CNC CELL MACHINISTS United Kingdom 01/07/2014

required for our European Headquarters in Tiverton, Mid-Devon.

 

We are looking to expand our current team of CNC machinists to work days or nights over the weekend.  Shifts will be 12-hours, either Saturday and Sunday days (24-hours in total), or Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (36-hours total).  You will be producing high-quality metal components and linear systems using precision CNC controlled equipment. 

 

Skills & Experience Required: 

  • Machine shop experience and be familiar with production processes and machine shop practice. 
  • Be able to operate or have experience of CNC Milling, Turning and Grinding including operation of any Hurco, Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain. 
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings. 
  • Be familiar with standard measurement equipment and techniques, including Vernier and micrometers. 

 

We are looking for individuals who are flexible and willing to undertake weekend working and this role may suit someone looking for a shorter working week.

Day Shift:
