HepcoMotion® -

In 2011 HepcoMotion® engaged its highest number of apprentices since 1998. And this year that figure will not only be matched but also the intake will make provision for the development of young engineering talent for more academically demanding roles within the company.

Thanks to the expertise of Ayrshire-based Emergency One, the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service now operates a purpose-designed and award-winning specialist rescue unit (SRU) that is unique. What makes this vehicle design so special is its stowage of a vast range of dedicated equipment including a fully-inflated boat for water rescue, positioned on a trailer for quick off-load.

The problems that occur when reeling in a garden hose after use equally apply to the reeling process involved in flexible mandrel production. If the hose isn’t guided effectively it tends to build up on one side of the reel, coil too loosely, tangle, kink or jam. This is precisely what was happening to mandrel manufacturer, Bell Plastics, with its original guiding mechanism.

Whilst some manufacturers choose proprietary handling systems to optimise their production output many others opt for bespoke systems that are dedicated to the needs of a specific application. And this is a field in which HepcoMotion® has considerable expertise. Its exceptionally wide product range provides considerable design flexibility enabling the best linear motion, rotary motion or combined solution to be created.

Increasingly manufacturers are automating processes to assure consistent quality and drive down unit costs. With the focus on maximum machine uptime, the need to stop production for routine re-lubrication of linear motion systems can compromise cost efficiency; so HepcoMotion has developed a solution that is unique in the market. Now available as an option for all its core linear motion products is the HepcoMotion® Bleed Lubrication System.

Such is the breadth of its product offering for the production environment that HepcoMotion® will be taking two stands at this year’s MACH. This is an unprecedented move. The purpose of the first stand is to showcase its advanced linear and rotary motion products and the exhibits will include the company’s new Timing Belt Rings. The second stand focuses on machine building and automation solutions and will feature a further two new products; RapiLok No-Drill Connectors for its Machine Construction System (MCS) and the Linear Measuring Indicator.

HepcoMotion® has the ability to build ring tracks and continuous motion circuits of limitless size and variation. It can call on a wide range of standard products and ring segments to provide this exceptional flexibility and now it is offering its customers another choice to extend the scope of its PRT2 product programme.

World launch of two new products on stand no: T36

Although HepcoMotion® is acknowledged as a world leader in linear motion, visitors to the company’s stand at Southern Manufacturing will be left in no doubt that this British manufacturer is equally competent in continuous motion. Indeed its PRT2 Precision Ring Track offers the system designer the means to create circuits of limitless variety. Elements from this range will form part of the main working exhibit and also a separate system demonstrating a spiral configuration.

Linear product for innovative packaging machinery

This easy-to-install, compact product can also be adapted for rotary applications where angular measurement is required.
