HepcoMotion raises over £25,000 for Cancer Research UK

CRUK

Marking World Cancer Day on 4th February 2023, Tiverton-based engineering firm HepcoMotion has donated more than £25,000 to Cancer Research UK (CRUK) throughout 2022.

HepcoMotion, a world-leading manufacturer of linear motion systems and automation components, has been supporting Cancer Research UK for many years with its exhibition enquiry and customer survey donation schemes.  Hepco attends approximately 15 exhibitions across Europe and the UK each year, and donates £5 for every business card received. Hepco also donates £5 for every customer who completes its customer service survey, taking the total donation to £26,235 this year.

Money raised by the HepcoMotion funds research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, helping to ensure more people in Devon and across the UK survive.

Kim Hammerton, Cancer Research UK fundraising spokesperson for Devon, says: “HepcoMotion has made a huge contribution to Cancer Research UK’s work for many years and we are incredibly grateful for the part they have played in the fight against cancer.

“Our determination to beat the disease hasn’t faltered and we are more focussed than ever on our ambition of seeing 3 in 4 people survive their cancer by 2034. However, our progress relies on the incredible dedication and commitment of our partners, volunteers and supporters like HepcoMotion without whom we would not be able to fund our life-saving work.  All of us can support the research that will beat it.”

HepcoMotion’s President Gervase Forster, who personally proposed the company’s donation schemes in order to provide ongoing support to CRUK says: “As a company, we’re incredibly proud to contribute and promote the vital work that Cancer Research UK does to help beat cancer sooner.”
