Automation is a big topic at FMB, the supplier show for mechanical engineering, which will be held on the 9th-11th November 2016 in Bad Salzuflen, Germany. A key part of automation is the use of guidance systems that provide the necessary movement to perform the automated task. Consequently, HepcoMotion, a specialist in linear guidance system, will of course, be attending FMB. Demonstrating the depth of its product ranges ideally suited to mechanical engineering, Hepco looks forward to welcoming visitors to its stand (B4, hall 20).
Key products on the stand include the highly-regarded HepcoMotion Guidance System for the Beckhoff XTS (eXtended Transport System). This solution utilises Hepco’s PRT2 and 1-Trak guidance systems to work with Beckhoff’s XTS circuit linear system to meet the needs of higher duty XTS applications where motion profiles and long term durability requirements are particularly demanding. The combination of technologies from market leaders Beckhoff and Hepco provides users with a robust, high production and flexible solution that will revolutionise production processes in many manufacturing applications. This system is ideally suited for a range of applications, such as a variable speed lane divider to sort randomly positioned items into separate lanes, or a double-sided system for a compact application that requires multiple motion profiles.
Further products on the stand include the DTS2 driven track system – an ideal choice for a food or packaging application that requires high positional accuracy and a demanding duty cycle. Widely used to facilitate high speed automation of assembly processes, the DTS2 is popular in a number of industries including the packaging, automotive, electronic and pharmaceutical industries to name but a few.
Hepco will also be showcasing its core V guide linear system: GV3. GV3 is designed to serve a diverse range of automation and linear applications and is suitable for a wide variety of environments from clean rooms to hostile conditions. Highly accurate, GV3 is particularly suitable for high precision applications in the medical and scientific industries, or any application where accuracy is paramount. One of the quietest linear systems on the market, GV3 offers high speeds of up to eight meters per second.
Visitors will also be able to see the highly original 1-Trak continuous motion system that gives designers complete freedom in 2D bearing track design. Perfect where space is important, 1-Trak enables tight track return curves to be achieved and can be customised to fit an existing machine. 1-Trak can achieve track designs that were previously not considered to be feasible or too expensive.
With Hepco’s experienced team on hand to discuss applications and product offerings, Hepco looks forward to meeting visitors on stand B4, hall 20.
