HepcoMotion - Assembly Process Engineer

We welcome applications for this exciting opportunity to join our Assembly Team.

The person fulfilling this roll will work with the production and engineering teams to reduce wastes in the assembly processes. Produce SOPs, WIs and build manuals for Hepco products, both existing and new variants.

Responsibilities:

  • Write & put in place Build manuals, SOPs, WIs, Setting sheets
  • Monitor and review assembly processes
  • Implement LEAN improvements in the assembly area
  • Implement LEAN improvements to assembly process’
  • Communicate project progress on a weekly/bi-weekly basis via MS teams
  • Attend assembly VSMs to understand problems that are being experienced that day
  • Work with the engineers and manufacturing team to understand problems
  • Resolve problems identified using an 8D structured process

Essential:

  • LEAN manufacturing principles
  • 6 sigma green belt or other statistical process control
  • Practical problem solving using 8D principles
  • Analytical skills
  • Basic IT skills – MS suite, especially teams
  • Using Solid Works or other CAD packages
  • Written and verbal communication skills with team members and the wider manufacturing team
  • Is experienced in managing projects
  • Is able to produce technical/instructional documentation.

Hours of Work:

Mon – Thu 7.00am to 4.30pm
Friday 7.00am to 12.00pm

39 hours per week
