CNC Turner – Double Days

Location: Braintree, Essex
Contract: Full Time

We have an opportunity for an experienced individual(s) to join our Turning Department. The successful candidate(s) will be part of a team turning bearing race parts and associated components.

Scope:

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines.  Loading and running programs through prove out according to the tools list and works instructions, producing a valid first-off component, loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities. Conducting in-process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately to the highest standards.

Skills:

  • Experience in setting and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to work productively independently and as part of a team.

Hours of Work:

Rotating Early and Late shifts as below:

 

Early Shift

Monday – Thursday:  05:30/06:00am – 14:00pm

Friday:                            05:30/06:00am – 13:00/13:30pm.  37/39 hours per week

(Actual hours will be amended to 37 or 39)

 

Late Shift

Monday – Thursday: 14:00pm – 22: 00/22:30pm

Friday:                          13:00/13:30pm – 20:30/21:00pm.  37/39 hours per week

(Actual hours will be amended to 37 or 39)

 

Additional hours at overtime rate are available to suit business demands.
