Grinding Cell Machinist – Weekend Days

This position is offered to employees with a shift premium on top of your basic salary.

• Setting and operating CNC machines to set programs according to work instruction.
• Loading the grinding centres to meet desired quantities
• Conducting in-process inspection
• Verifying against drawings and specifications to ensure customer orders are manufactured accurately and to the highest standards.

• Experience in setting and operating CNC or and precision grinding machines
• Familiarity with Fanuc programming controls
• Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances
• Proficient in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques
• Can do attitude with team working ethos

• Manufacturing engineering experience in a similar background or environment
• Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ3 Award, BTEC or City & Guilds qualification in engineering at Advanced Level
• A high level of IT literacy.
• Experience using CMM, pre-set meters and gauges to check conformity of product.

Friday – Sunday: 6am – 6pm 36-hours per week.
