IT Project Manager

Location: Tiverton, Devon
Contract: Full Time

We are looking for a project manager to take ownership of the group’s project portfolio.

This is a new role for Hepco and as such the post holder will be given freedom to define how projects are run and put their own stamp on the role.

This role is aligned with the IT / technical departments but the postholder will be working with multi-disciplined teams across the manufacturing team. They will be working on activities that streamline and drive efficiencies across the business.

Reporting into the IT manager, the postholder must have a proven history working closely with IT technical delivery teams and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle.

  • A proven record of accomplishment of successfully delivering projects in a deadline focussed environment
  • Ability to listen to stakeholders and manage assumptions
  • Hands on approach and the desire to get into the detail to develop the business model in how we deliver projects
  • Clear communicator
  • Ability to talk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must have a strong appreciation of technology and trends
  • Good knowledge of software development led projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Key Objectives:

  • Works closely with stakeholders across the business in a both a technical and non-technical capacity to assess and understand requirements and to define overall project deliverables
  • Development of project frameworks to control delivery, communication, budget and risk
  • Create and Deliver Project Plans, Revising and updating as scope and / or requirements change
  • Keeping this documentation up to date as the project progresses
  • Carry out monitoring and control activities in order to track the progress of the projects
  • Manages the lifecycle of Project and programmes within Hepco’s portfolio. Delivering regular reports on status, risk and resource as required
  • Skill and resource management, working around and identifying resource and skills gaps. Making recommendations and identifying resource shortfalls
  • Project documentation is completed to an exceptional standard including scoping through closure
  • Conducting project closure analysis and lessons learned activities
  • Regularly updates management and stakeholders

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday:               9am – 5pm.  1-hour for lunch.

35-hours per week.

The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible and to work the required hours to succeed in the role.
