Maintenance Electrical Engineer

This includes conducting regular safety inspections, performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on CNC machinery, and maintaining all site electrical systems. The role is also responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and manage external contractors and maintenance resources.

• Conducting safety inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safe working practices, and maintaining safety systems like fire alarms. The engineer will install, test, and maintain site electrical systems, conduct EICRs, and troubleshoot faults

• A significant part of the role involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance on CNC machinery, including diagnostics and repair of control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Hurco), and overseeing calibrations

• The role also involves identifying continuous improvement opportunities, managing external contractors, and tracking maintenance inventory and expenses

• Installation, testing, and maintenance of site electrical systems, including EV chargers

• Performing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)

• Preventative and reactive maintenance on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machinery

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults within machinery and control systems

• Overseeing machine calibrations and alignments

• Specific IT/Control Systems

• Experience with PLC control systems, specifically Fanuc, Siemens, and Hurco.

Mon – Thu 7.00am to 4.00pm
Friday 7.00am to 12.00pm

39 hours per week
