TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER – HERTS, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, BEDFORDSHIRE, WARWICKSHIRE AND NORTHANTS
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to support our continued strong global growth within the regions of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire in the UK
The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of mechanical engineering practices. Some engineering design experience would also be an advantage. A formal qualification HNC, HND would be beneficial.
To be successful the candidate will need to use these engineering skills to identify customer’s linear applications and have an ability to understand technical and budgetary requirements to specify the correct Hepco solution. They must have the ability to recognise new application opportunities by questioning and understanding customer needs.
Summary of Day-today tasks:
Making technical product presentations and demonstrating how the product will meet customer requirements.
Visiting customers / prospects to discuss technical applications.
Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
Solving customer problems.
Establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with customers.
Identifying and interpreting customer requirements.
Convincing clients that a product best fits their requirements.
Technical report writing and quote preparation.
Recording and maintaining customer information and data on the CRM system.
Management of CRM system.
Negotiating price, delivery and terms.
Co-ordinating and field management of large projects.
After sales support.
Researching industries for new clients.
Preparing quarterly sales reports.
Preparing sales action plans as required.
Ensuring sales targets are met.
Attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events when requested.
De-briefs with UK Sales Manager.

35 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible and to work the required hours to succeed in the role.
The position offers an attractive basic salary along with on target commission which is payable upon successful completion of probationary period. Car, laptop Mobile phone will be provided along with life assurance and private medical insurance again following successful completion of probationary period.
A personal holiday allocation of 25-days per year (full-time) plus Bank Holidays and free on-site parking is also provided.
