Machine tools, manufacturing and automation are core focuses at Intec, Germany’s leading trade fair for the metal processing industry. Guidance systems are therefore a key area of interest at this exhibition; rest assured that HepcoMotion, a specialist in linear guidance systems, will of course, be attending Intec. Demonstrating the depth of its product ranges ideally suited to industrial automation, Hepco looks forward to welcoming visitors to its stand (Hall 3, stand G37).
Key products on the stand include the highly-regarded HepcoMotion Guidance System for the Beckhoff XTS (eXtended Transport System). This solution utilises Hepco’s PRT2 and 1-Trak guidance systems to work with Beckhoff’s XTS circuit linear system to meet the needs of higher duty XTS applications where motion profiles and long-term durability requirements are particularly demanding. The combination of technologies from market leaders Beckhoff and Hepco provides users with a robust, high production and flexible solution that will revolutionise production processes in many manufacturing applications. This system is ideally suited to a range of applications, such as a variable speed lane divider to sort randomly positioned items into separate lanes, or a double-sided system for a compact application that requires multiple motion profiles.
Hepco will also be showcasing its core V guide linear system: GV3. GV3 is designed to serve a diverse range of automation and linear applications and is suitable for a wide variety of environments from clean rooms to hostile conditions. Highly accurate, GV3 is particularly suitable for high precision applications in the medical and scientific industries, or any application where accuracy is paramount. One of the quietest linear systems on the market, GV3 offers high speeds of up to eight meters per second.
Further products on the stand include the DTS2 driven track system – an ideal choice for any application that requires high positional accuracy and a demanding duty cycle. Widely used to facilitate high speed automation of assembly processes, the DTS2 is popular in a number of industries including the packaging, automotive, electronic and pharmaceutical industries to name but a few.
Hepco’s highly original 1-Trak continuous motion system will also be on the stand. 1-Trak gives designers complete freedom in 2D bearing track design – a necessity for some challenging applications. Perfect where space is important, 1-Trak enables tight track return curves to be achieved and can be customised to fit an existing machine. 1-Trak can achieve track designs that were previously perceived to be too expensive or not feasible.
Catering for straightforward, simple linear applications, visitors will be able to see the HLG linear guide system. Suitable for most automation requirements, HLG offers a smooth low friction movement, high rigidity and an excellent load capacity at a competitive price. The rails of the recirculating ball system are available in widths of 5 to 55 mm and can carry loads up to 180 kN
The stand will also feature Hepco’s Heavy Duty Ring and Track system (HDRT). Utilising proven components, HDRT track systems are used extensively as transfer systems for machine tool and automation applications. Ring segments combine with straight slides to build open paths or closed circuits. With little to no maintenance required ring systems are considered in many cases as a cost effective alternative to traditional slewing rings.
Hepco is well known for its V guide technology – a unique wiping action that expels debris from the rail, keeping machines running and reliable. Hepco has been leading the development of V Guide technology since 1969 and continues to develop innovative linear products that offer new solutions to design engineers.
With Hepco’s experienced team on hand to discuss applications and product offerings, Hepco looks forward to meeting visitors in Hall 3, Stand G37 at Intec on the 7th-10th March 2017.
