CNC Machinist Weekend Nights

To join our CNC manufacturing cell, operating large format CNC machine centres:

Scope
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines.  Loading and running programs through prove out according to the tools list and works instructions, producing a valid first-off component and having it verified, loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards.

Skills
·           Minimum 2-years previous experience in setting and operating CNC machines
·           Working knowledge of controls, such as: Hurco, Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain
·           Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances
·           Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques
A high level of IT literacy, including MS Windows and Office

Hours of Work

Friday - Sunday:6.00pm – 6.00am

36-hours per week

Technical Sales & Applications Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, the role of Internal Sales Applications Engineering will focus on:

Scope:

  • Provide a Technical Sales Services to our Customers
  • Dealing first-handed with enquires from our field Sales Team both in the UK and Branch Markets
  • Solving design problems using our range of diverse products
  • Preparation of drawings and sales proposals

The successful candidate should ideally be educated to HNC level and have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or similar in a relevant engineering qualification.  We will also consider candidates who have achieved A ‘Levels in Mathematics and Physics at Grade C or above.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • An aptitude for the workings of Machine Mechanisms
  • Good Mathematical Skills
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAC

Experience in  a Sales environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

 

Essential Pre-Requisites:

  • A ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Good telephone manner
  • A friendly, outgoing personality

Job Role:

BPC have identifies an opportunity for a Grinding Operator on their busy and well run manufacturing line. This role includes the measuring of individual components using electronic machines.

 

Essential to Role:

  • Experience of precision or Toolroom grinding.
  • Knowledge of cylindrical grinding principles.
  • Proven engineering background in a similar environment.

Preferred for Role:

Design Engineer

To support our continued growth, our Research & Development Department is looking to recruit a Design Engineer to focus on:

 

  • Designing new and improved products from concept to manufacture.
  • Support and maintenance of existing products.
  • Creation of product documentation, including CAD models, drawings, instructions, manuals and catalogues.
  • Undertake testing of products and developing procedures.

 

Qualifications/Experience

This position would suit an engineer with a degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject together with a number of years in a design/engineering role.

 

The successful candidate will be able to create and document designs using CAD tools, to identify where calculations and tests are required, and to perform and document these calculations and tests.  They will exhibit a high degree of technical competence, computer literacy, and have a strong work ethic.  They will also have good written and verbal communication skills.

 

The position will require the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD CAD programs, and experience of these packages would be an advantage, although training will be given to candidates experienced with other design tools.
