MARKETING ASSISTANT – ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our dynamic Marketing Department as a Marketing Assistant Apprentice.

Joining straight from school or college you will be part of a hugely successful marketing team with a progressive attitude and hands on approach to marketing this growing company. We will provide an apprenticeship, and full in house training on software and internal processes as well as personal development.  This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in marketing. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • Although no experience is necessary. basic experience from either work experience or a work placement in a marketing or creative position would be of benefit
  • Experience with creative cloud packages including InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects would be an advantage
  • Studies in business, design, marketing or other creative subjects would be an advantage but is not essential

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Updating and creating language versions of catalogues using InDesign and ICopy through liaison with translators
  • Producing and supporting with  a variety of artwork based on project requirements and brief
  • Digital prospecting via email campaigns,  compiling lists of potential prospects with LinkedIn sales navigator with the help of the sales teams.
  • Assist with editing, creating and adding content to the company website
  • Support with the creation and translation of email campaigns
  • Support with editing and translation of video content
  • Assist with CRM tasks and the management as required
  • Work with, support and assist all members of the department as required
  • Assisting with the departments administration requirements including ordering give away items

Hours of Work

Responsibilities:

·        Setting and operating CNC machines to set programs according to work instruction.

·        Loading the grinding centres to meet desired quantities

·        Conducting in-process inspection

·        Verifying against drawings and specifications to ensure customer orders are manufactured accurately and to the highest standards.

Essential:

·       Experience in setting and operating CNC or and precision grinding machines

·       Proficient in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.

Desirables:

Our Purchase & Supply team dedicate their time to ensuring our manufacturing team have raw materials, components and essential services in constant supply to enable us to meet our fast moving customer expectations.  A key part of the role of a Buyer involves negotiating using the phone, email and video conferencing to source and visit new suppliers, identify new products and new services.  Another important aspect for the team is the administration of the supply chain process including data analysis, placing orders, purchase order maintenance and working within key performance indicators.

Full mentoring and bespoke training on the art of negotiation and supply chain management as well as undertaking practical training in our Production team covering the aspects of the manufacturing of our products will be given to enhance your studies.  This key foundation of engineering knowledge will provide you with the best skill base to progress into the role of a Buyer upon completion your apprenticeship.

Applicants ideally will have at least one of the following:

3 A-Levels at grade C and above
City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in a suitable discipline
Level 3 BTEC Engineering

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, we are looking for applications to provide an interesting development opportunity and to broaden the use of technical knowledge. The role will focus on the promotion and sale of Hepco products to prospective customers.

Scope:
• Providing a Technical Sales Service to our Customers
• Dealing first-hand with customer enquiries, by telephone and digital meetings where required
• Solving Design Problems and providing new design solutions
• Checking and validating applications, preparing costings and quotations
• Preparation of drawings
• Assisting the manufacturing team with design builds

The successful candidate could be educated to HNC level and have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or be educated to degree level or similar in a relevant engineering qualification.
Qualifications/Experience:

• Good telephone manner along with written communication skills
• Confidence with using video conferencing/digital meetings
• Organised with understanding of time management
• An aptitude for the workings of machine mechanisms would be useful
• Good Maths and English skills
• Working knowledge of 3D design tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD

Experience in a Sales environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

Hours of Work

Monday - Friday8/9am - 4/5pm

35 hours

1 Hour for Lunch

Although the successful candidate will be expected to follow working patterns or hours required to meet the operational needs of the Customer Services Team, our Branch Markets and worldwide distributor network.  This will include working hours between 8.00 am and 17.00, flexibility is therefore required.
