SALES & LOGISTICS MANAGER

Scope:

Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the Sales & Logistics Manager will manage and lead the Sales & Logistics team to ensure our customer’s expectations and needs are met to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new or improved sales administration systems as necessary to increase performance of the department and more widely through the company.
  • Ensure all current processes are fit for purpose and fully defined, and update or improve processes as necessary.  Always ensuring that world class customer service levels is central to all processes.
  • Manage and maintain office processes for maximum efficiency and departmental performance.  Developing Key Performance Indicators to measure performance and improvements.
  • Take a leading role in the use and development of the companies ERP and CRM systems.
  • Lead, manage and review on an ongoing basis, the versatility and skills of the UK Sales & Logistics Team to motivate, engage and develop to enhance individual and departmental performance.
  • To develop a strong working knowledge of HepcoMotion products, systems, services, our website and marketing activities.
  • Manage workflow and communications across the UK Sales team, Technical sales, Branch markets and Distributor networks
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with all departments

Role Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of use and development of ERP and CRM systems
  • Proven leadership and management skills to motivate and engage
  • Skills in change management to ensure uptake and engagement, where process changes are identified
  • Good understanding of HR, including recruitment, employment legislation, employee relations procedures, i.e. performance management, disciplinary, grievance
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a professional manner at all times
  • Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, but also with the skills to engage at all levels of the business

Mon - Fri8/9.00am - 4/5.00pm

Although the successful candidate will be expected to follow working patterns or hours required to meet the operational needs of the Customer Services Team, our Branch Markets and worldwide distributor network.  This will include working hours between 8.00 am and 17.00, flexibility is therefore required.

ELECTRO/MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL BIAS)

We are currently on the lookout for an ambitious Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Interacting with all departments to ensure that the manufacturing processes continue to deliver products as efficiently as possible through efficient preventative maintenance.

You will deliver emergency breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing areas, as well as achieving manufacturing targets by ensuring the process equipment is maintained to a high standard. As part of the maintenance team you will also assist in projects to deliver quality, productivity, safety and cost reductions.

Scope:

  • Ensure manufacturing process equipment is available and maintained to the correct standard.
  • Participate in multi-functional projects taking on and delivering specific actions and tasks.
  • Trouble shoot equipment and process issues, and repair equipment to ensure day-to-day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Analyse daily equipment metrics and use data driven decisions to improve processes and generate reports to document.
  • Work with other departments to develop and improve current process equipment and systems to deliver change and improve key metrics.

Skills:

  • Good Electro-Mechanical knowledge of process and equipment maintenance. (Will consider Multi-skilled candidates)
  • Working knowledge of PLC control systems including Siemens. (Would be desirable but not essential)
  • Hands on experience of manufacturing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within a precision engineering manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential. (Will also consider candidates from FMCG,
  • Food processing or Distillery)
  • Previous experience of working within a team delivering projects is essential
  • Highly desirable: HNC, 18th Edition or Time –Served
  • Recently qualified Electro-Mechanical Apprentices will also be considered

CNC TURNER – ROTATING EARLY AND LATE SHIFTS

We have an opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Turning Department based at our site in Braintree Essex. The successful candidate will be part of a team of two operating Samsung & Hembrug machines, predominately hard part turning bearing race parts and associated components.

Scope:

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines.  Loading and running programs through prove out according to the tools list and works instructions, producing a valid first-off component, loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities. Conducting in-process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately to the highest standards.

Skills:

  • Proven and recent experience in setting and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of team

Scope:

We are looking for a pro-active person to join our Final Inspection Team, to maintain a 24hr lead-time from point of arrival to point of completion to next op for finished goods into the final inspection and wrapping team.

Responsibilities:

This is a physically demanding role, which will require someone who is efficient and able to take direction as necessary. Use of computer systems for job sign off and email correspondence. Routine inspection prior to moving on to the next process of packaging of finished goods. The movement of finished goods using manual handling techniques.

Skills:

•    Experience of manual dimensional inspection (Micrometer, Vernier calliper, etc.)

•    Maths & English qualification or related experience in a similar role

•    Experience of manual handling and lifting techniques

•    Ability to differentiate between product types

•    Fully understand and follow instructions both written and verbal

•    Pallet truck is an advantage, however training can be provided

•    Attention to detail

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our CNC Cell running various 3,4 and 5 axis machining centres to produce Hepco components within specification. Minimal, if any programming will be required.
