Maintenance Labourer

Hepco Slide Systems Limited, who manufacture and supply a wide range of precision linear slides and associated components for automation and special purpose machine projects, require a:

 

Scope:

As a Maintenance Labourer you will be responsible for supporting both electrical and mechanical engineers during planned and reactive maintenance of the factory machinery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with electrical and mechanical repairs to ensure maximum uptime of machinery.
  • Manage the requirement of Total Preventative Maintenance program and planned maintenance to maximise machine availability.
  • Effective communication of machine statues to Maintenance People Prime to minimise and prevent downtime.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Regular inspection of machinery to ensure compliance with Total Preventative Maintenance.
  • Work closely with other departments to find ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness pre, during and post machine servicing to increase efficiency of the department.
  • Some involvement in projects within the business to develop process improvements.

Scope
* Skilled in the use of manufacturing inspection instruments and methods for first article     and in-process inspection of precision machined components.
* Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and quality requirements.

CNC Machinist

Due to a substantial increase in business and high customer demand, we have opportunities available, to increase our internal capacity in our world class CNC facility; working on either our small CNC machines or our large 84 & 85 CNC machines.

 

Focusing on:

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines.  Loading and running programs through prove out according to the tools list and works instructions, producing a valid first-off component and having it verified, loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards.

 

Essential:

  • Minimum 2-years previous experience in setting and operating CNC machines.
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
  • Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.

 

Desirables:

Management Accountant

Scope:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be providing assistance with the company and branch management accounts across the Hepco group.

 

The role will encompass taking on some of the existing reporting and control functions as well as working on delivering new reporting and value added analysis as identified.  It will also support the Group Financial Controller in reviewing current processes and streamlining them as well as looking at how technology can be best used implemented to bring further departmental efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management accounts preparation for individual Hepco companies as well as the branch network
  2. Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting along with ad-hoc reporting as well as designing and delivering new reports
  3. Financial analysis and communication to relevant people as required
  4. Dealing with external auditors / accountants and other 3rd parties
  5. General ledger accounts reconciliation
  6. Reviewing the fixed asset schedules and managing the overall fixed asset register
  7. Good understanding of purchase and sales ledger
  8. Good understanding of intercompany accounts
  9. Providing cover for the payroll function
  10. Helping to deliver new ways of working and systems with the group financial controller and finance team

 

Key Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • CCAB qualified or part-qualified Accountant.
  • Experience of improving process efficiency / implementing new ways of working.
  • Ability to think creatively to deliver innovative solutions

CNC Turner – Cell Machinist

Focusing on:

Manufacturing customer orders on our circular motion product range using vertical and horizontal turning centres, along with other large format ring grinding/turning machines.  Loading, setting and running programs through initial prove out simulation according to the requirements of production documentation.  Producing valid first-off component and having it verified or self-inspected using our CMM (with training).  Loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection, checking set ups/first off against drawings and specifications to ensure orders are manufactured accurately and to the highest quality standards.

 

Essential:

  • Minimum 2-years previous experience in setting and operating CNC machines.
  • Proven experience of milling and turning on CNC centres.
  • Fully conversant with Fanuc programming controls.
  • Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
