KITTING PACKER

We welcome applications for this opportunity to join our Stores & Despatch team to provide material using kit lists to the assembly team in a timely manner for production.

Responsibilities

  • Picking of materials using kit lists, to provide parts to the Assembly team in a timely manner
  • Receiving of materials from goods in, to be checked off and packed away in a suitable manner using barcodes
  • Stock management including stock counts
  • Supporting the despatch team as required
  • Maintain hygiene, health and safety standards and an organised workspace

Skills

  • Good knowledge of IT to include Outlook
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong communicator at all levels using all channels
  • Self-motivated and able to work well in a team

No previous experience necessary as training will be provided on all systems and processes.

Hours of Work:

Monday – Thursday:             9.00 am – 5.30 pm

Friday:                                 9.00 am – 4.30 pm.

CNC CELL MACHINIST

An opportunity to develop and learn key skills integral to the manufacture of Hepco’s components to specification within the CNC Cell.  Minimal, if any, programming will be required.

Responsibilities:

Operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machines for production of various components by:

  • Selection of correct programme using the Fanuc and Hurco controls
  • Identifying the required tooling
  • Setting tools in the machine
  • Setting the work holding on the machine
  • Running a proving programme

Skills:

  • Understanding and reading engineering drawings
  • Ability to follow process instructions
  • Able to use measuring equipment
  • Basic IT knowledge

A basic level of engineering machining experience will provide a good foundation for training on specific use of machines and other job functions.

Hours of Work:

Monday – Thursday:             7.00 am – 4.00 pm

Friday:                                      7.00 am – 12.00 pm.

39-hours per week.

SALES / APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, we are looking for applications to provide an interesting development opportunity and to broaden the use of technical knowledge. The role will focus on the promotion and sale of Hepco products to prospective customers.

Scope:
• Providing a Technical Sales Service to our Customers
• Dealing first-hand with customer enquiries, by telephone and digital meetings where required
• Solving Design Problems and providing new design solutions
• Checking and validating applications, preparing costings and quotations
• Preparation of drawings
• Assisting the manufacturing team with design builds

The successful candidate could be educated to HNC level and have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or be educated to degree level or similar in a relevant engineering qualification.
Qualifications/Experience:

• Good telephone manner along with written communication skills
• Confidence with using video conferencing/digital meetings
• Organised with understanding of time management
• An aptitude for the workings of machine mechanisms would be useful
• Good Maths and English skills
• Working knowledge of 3D design tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD

Experience in a Sales environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

Working Hours – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
(with flexibility support our external customer and distributor network).

Responsibilities

• Setting CNC lathes to produce rings
• Selecting correct programmes for manufacture
• Identifying and setting tooling on machine centres
• Running batch work and checking dimensions using a CMM
• Maintaining machine to our TPM requirements
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

Skills

• Understanding engineering drawings
• Ability to follow process instructions
• Understanding of basic G code (Fanuc) programmes
• Knowledge of the turning process
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Basic IT knowledge
