TRAINEESHIPS
We are pleased to be able to offer opportunities to train and develop people looking to make the move into engineering. Our traineeship programme invites individuals to undertake a 10-week intensive training course to provide basic and specific manufacturing engineering skills. Full on the job training will be provided, together with two day-release at Exeter College, leading to nationally recognised qualifications.
The programme will commence in March 2021.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• To complete a programme of training to be conducted within our Manufacturing departments.
• To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of machine tools
• Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools
• Following processes, standard operating procedures and systems of manufacture
• Carrying out tasks and duties as directed by the Technical & People Primes to maximise achievement of set levels of performance and competence
Skills:
• Demonstrable interest in learning an engineering discipline
• To be I.T. literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Highly motivated

PRODUCTION PLANNING ENGINEER
Focusing on:
Planning and scheduling jobs in line with quotations and customer drawings. Drawing plans; using specialised design software packages. Ensuring plans meet the client’s specifications and creating a method of manufacture of customer requirement consistent with Hepco’s manufacturing processes.
Essential:
• Knowledge of Hepco products and routes of manufacture
• Mechanical Engineering Qualification or Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ3 Award.
• CAD/CAM experience.

Our Apprenticeship is aimed at candidates with an interest in business, media or marketing; although all applicants will be considered. This is a genuine alternative to a university route, offering a fast track to a career in marketing, within our global organisation, with potential for further training and development.
You will assist the digital team and marketing department with a wide variety of projects including; email campaigns, creative design, social media activities plus the editing and creation of catalogues in different languages (with the help of translators). The apprenticeship includes time studying in face to face classes or online.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
– Assist in the creation and managing of email campaigns
– Creation of basic design/graphics in Photoshop and InDesign
– Editing and creating catalogues in different languages using InDesign
– Assisting with the creation and editing of video content
– Adding new content to all HepcoMotion websites, YouTube channels and other platforms

PRODUCTION STOCK CO-ORDINATOR
Required to assist with the smooth delivery of raw materials from stock to our production and manufacturing cells:
Responsibilities
• Stock control and issue of raw materials for production
• Maintaining accurate stock records using our computer systems
• Help maintain full traceability of stock throughout the building
• Visual inspection of raw materials for defects
Skills
• Previous warehouse and stock control experience
• Manual handling experience
• Self-motivation, organisation and time management skills with ability to work to deadlines
